Holiday Inn Express Newport Beach by IHG

Awesome hotel. Great price right across street from the harbor. Walk to dinners. The best is the breakfast. Fabiola greets you with a big smile and makes it feel cozy. The food was great and Fabiola keeps the area immaculately clean and organized. She was the MVP!

This hotel was well within my budget, and I'm grateful that they allowed me to check in early. The hot breakfast is a perk as well. However, charging $5 for 6 caplets of Advil is like robbery. Also, while the rooms and beds are cozy, I noticed the floor by the front door was damp. I had to check out early for a family trip, and the room price doubled within the span of a few days. All that to say, this place is a great find, with a central location, if you can get it for a deal (less than $350/night).

Deshawn checked us in and he was literally the BEST. We had an issue with the first room we went into and so my husband went down to the front desk and he immediately switched us rooms. The next night when we came in from a long day in Hollywood Deshawn was working again he didn’t hesitate to greet us and checked to make sure if our new room was good for us. It’s little things like this that make a difference. His customer service is everything and if no one has told him I WILL: he makes this location welcoming and comfortable. Me and my husband appreciate you DeShawn and I hope IHG hotels does too!

I’m very happy with my visit. The hotel had everything I was hoping for. The general manager, Gianni Fontanoza, was especially welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious. I will be back.

Great experience at this hotel. 5 stars to absolutely everything. We stayed here for 21 days and had such a wonderful time. All the personnel of this place was so friendly, helpful, caring, thoughtful. The whole atmosphere here is calm and peaceful. Service was excellent. We did really enjoy their breakfast that varies daily. If we had any questions - it was all resolved very fast, thank you Giovanni & miss Summer. Highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back!

Stood here this past weekend. It was my first time, but won’t be my last. My gf and I were greeted by a friendly front desk. The hotel property was clean. The room was nice. The pool area has plenty of space with a cabana. The area is pretty central in Newport and 10 minutes away from Huntington.

Good little budget hotel. Wonderful staff and everything was very clean. They do charge $22 for parking, which seemed silly since it's just a basic surface parking lot, not a garage or valet. Rooms are the standard HIE style, not new but not worn out either. Beds are comfy. One of the cheapest options in Newport Beach. Check out the sol grill next door - amazing food!

***If you book online make sure you “click” $1 for parking in their parking lot because its $22 if you pay at the branch**** Overall, it was a good trip. If you want to walk to the beach it is about 30 minutes, nice walk. The Rooms were big and clean and the breakfast did not disappoint. It was very similar to the branch we stayed in New York, so they got some kind of system. Eggs, Turkey sausage, omelet, cinnamon rolls,pancakes. We were full until lunch.
